Volkswagen has unveiled the new three-door Polo, which will go on sale in January 2010 with prices ranging from around £9200 to £14,000. The new supermini will be built in Volkswagen’s Pamplona factory in Spain, and shares its platform with the five-door Polo. Fitted as standard will be four airbags, ABS, ESP, hydraulic brake assist, a CD player, speed sensitive power steering and electric windows. Gone are the days of stripped-out superminis...
Available as Saloon, Estate or Coupe, the C 63 AMG Edition 507 will cost from £66,960 (for the saloon) and £68,160 (for the estate and coupe), or at least it will until you start to bother the options list. But for the base price you do get a fair bit already, with the AMG Drivers Pack as standard – which gives you extra horses (500bhp) and a higher top speed (174mph) and a free day out at an AMG BASIC Training Power and Passion Event so you can learn to drive your new C63 properly. As well as the extra power and freebie outing, you also get a selection of cosmetic and equipment teaks to the standard C 63 AMG including 19″ AMG Cross-Spoke alloys, composite brakes with red brake callipers, AMG bonnet with power dome and gloss black air vents and gloss black highlights for stuff like the mirrors and grill.
Hyundai Motor America is shifting production of its Santa Fe crossover to the Georgia plant of its corporate cousin, Kia Motors America, to free up production for more high-demand Hyundai Sonatas in Alabama. New workers have been hired at Kia's plant in West Point, Ga., to build the Santa Fe on a second production line, said a source familiar with the situation. The Santa Fe is now built at Hyundai's Montgomery, Ala., plant, which also builds the Sonata sedan.
